Terms of mediation of nostrification of the school leaving certificate/diploma issued in a foreign country for prospective students of the bachelor study programmes taught in English
Article I.
General provisions
The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice offers mediation of nostrification of the school leaving certificate/diploma issued in a foreign country for prospective students of the bachelor study programmes taught in English language.
Article II.
Terms of mediation of nostrification
When applying the prospective student of the bachelor study programme Nursing, study course Nurse, has to supply, among other documents, a Decision on Nostrification and the Validation clause of his/her foreign school leaving certificate/diploma. In this process the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (further FHSS USB) offers a mediatory service, which can facilitate the prospective students the obtaining of the required document – Decision on Nostrification.
In order for the FHSS USB to act on behalf of the prospective student of the bachelor study programmes in the matter of nostrification, the prospective student needs to send the following documents:
- Filled-in original of the Application form, which can be downloaded at: http://www.zsf.jcu.cz/en/study-education/study-programmes/study-programmes-offered-in-english/nursing/documents
- certified copy of legalized foreign school report/diploma,
- certified copy of the legalized list of school subjects (mathematics, physics, English language etc.) with the number of hours,
- document proving, that the school is recognised in the state, under whose legislation the foreign certificate was issued, as part of it educational system (this is not required, if it is clear from the foreign certificate and if the Czech Republic is bound by an international treaty to recognise the equivalence of the foreign certificate),
- power of attorney,
- verification of the authenticity of signatures and stamps on the originals of foreign certificates/diplomas by the relevant Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country under whose law the foreign certificate/diploma is issued, or notary acting on its territory, unless an international treaty by which the Czech Republic is bound, stipulates otherwise and as well to verify the fact that the school is recognized by the state under whose law the foreign certificate is issued.
- For this mediatory service the prospective student is charged € 266,- When the filled application form and the Power of Attorney is sent to the international office, the applicant will receive the applicant number and a request for payment. The fee is non-refundable.
Article III.
Final provisions
Should the Application form and the mandatory attachments thereof have any formal deficiencies, they shall be returned to the prospective student for revision. Should the prospective student fail to correct the deficiencies in the given deadline, he/she has not met the minimum criteria for acceptance of the application form for nostrification.
If the content and scope of your study program does not essentially differ from the curriculum of similar program in the Czech Republic, the application will be successful. If the Regional Authority officers find during the recognition procedure that the content and scope of education completed in a foreign school partially differs, the applicant will be ordered to perform a nostrification examination. The nostrification examination will compensate the difference in the subjects or number of hours. If the education significantly differs from similar study programs in the Czech Republic the application might be rejected.
FHSS USB can not guarantee the results of nostrification.
This measure comes into force on the date of signature of the Dean.
