Health care rescuer

The Bachelor study takes three years and upon graduating from it, the graduates from attendance study get the authorization to perform health-care job with the consent of the Czech Ministry of Health. The main motive to implement this type of qualification study was to build an educational program comparable with European Union countries, to contribute to the implementation of the new conception of pre-hospital care. The study respects also the relevant up-to-date standards issued by the Czech Ministry of Health. The goal of the Bachelor study program of Health care rescuer is to prepare a professional with university qualification within specific nursing care in the sector of urgent care, acute reception and in all places where ill and injured persons are in immediate danger of life.

The graduates from the study discipline of Health care rescuer will be able, based on their knowledge and skills from nursing, medical and humane disciplines and based on their experience from professional practice, to assess the client’s current condition and bio-psycho-social needs and to provide urgent care to affected members of all age groups in restricted time interval - on the site of emergence of a sudden incident, during transport to health care facility and in departments of urgent reception. The graduates from the study will find employment in health care rescue services and in other types of rescue services related to provision of health care professional first aid – mountain, mine, water and in departments of urgent reception.
