Study program of Nursing

The Doctor study program reacts to the increasing need of research workers in the discipline of Nursing with extended nursing and scientific knowledge, or of professionals able to solve creatively / scientifically the necessary tasks in their disciplines.

The graduates from this doctor study will be able to:

• identify and define scientific problems in nursing;
• master and use independently scientific methods and techniques of scientific research in the area of basic, applied scientific disciplines of nursing and other border – related sciences on human and health;
• investigate and solve problems within research projects of basic, specialized and applied disciplines of nursing, including supervision;
• develop nursing theory and practice based on evidence (Evidence Base Nursing);
• identify and understand development trends of nursing in health care systems in the Czech Republic and in the world;
• perform independent research activity in the discipline of nursing;
• identify and define components and aspects of nursing care quality in different communities and cultures;
• implement methodology of preservation and increase of nursing care quality in the Czech Republic with regard to the character of subjects providing services to communities and cultures;
• present and publish the outputs of scientific-research, education-teaching and managing activity in Czech and in foreign language.
