The subsequent Master study takes two years. It is an international study program prepared in cooperation of three universities: Hochschule Bremen, University of Applied Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics a University College for Health Studies and University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Faculty of Health and Social Studies, within the Socrates Project.

The goal of the international Master program in health and social care management is to develop knowledge and skills, i.e. key competences needed to manage both health and social care. It is very desirable in these areas to provide always efficient and effective care, even in cases when there are some drawbacks within the relevant institution. The problems solved should not affect the quality of the provided services. The formulation of the goals and contents of the study discipline was influenced also by the fact that the health care sector is characterized by fast technological development with influence also on the development of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The students will acquire knowledge and skills needed for professional action in current and future development of a dynamic, progressive and future-oriented market. We qualify people also for work of control employees within social-economic and health care management. When preparing the study discipline, both European and national requirements / standards for preparation of study discipline were respected. The study discipline consists of 15 modules. High-quality e-learning supports have been prepared for seven modules, and the students will receive extensive supports in printed form for the remaining ones. Qualified experts from all universities involved will take part in the lessons. The lessons will take place in English. The first three semesters are devoted to theoretical lessons and the last, fourth semester to preparation of doctoral thesis. Within that preparation, the student will spend time at the specific workplace on which his or her doctoral thesis is focused. During the study, the student will spend at least one semester (25%) at a foreign partner university. If the student passes 50% of lessons at one partner foreign university, the student will receive a diploma from both universities, i.e. obtain double degree. Double degree allows the students to acquire valuable competitive advantage at the globalizing labour market.
