A Nigerian student from the partner university in Finland got a scholarship and came to study at our faculty

Oluwatobi Adu, a Nigerian student, spent two months at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in České Budějovice. He is a student at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences in Kemi, Finland, which has been our partner for many years. Oluwatobi Adu studies nursery in Finland, so, during his scholarship, he was becoming acquainted with the hospital, which he liked very much, especially the Department of Neonatology. He spent more than two weeks at Arpida, the centre for the rehabilitation of the disabled. Mgr. Ivan Kolář, who is in charge of the centre’s organization of professional practice, was happy that Oluwatobi Adu shared new experiences with the clients. “He was very contact, communicative and positive. The children were not shy to ask him what they were interested in because he was very accommodating. When they did not understand him, he eventually made himself understood. Our teachers helped with the translation – he had also prepared a presentation about Nigeria and all children listened for the whole hour,” he said.
