MUDr. Vojtěch Kurfirst, Ph.D., who teaches at our faculty, received an award for his monographs

The work of MUDr. Vojtěch Kurfirst, Ph.D., who is a member of the Institute of Physiotherapy and selected medical fields of FHSS, received the Best Monographs in 2019 award from the committee of the Czech Society for Cardiovascular Surgery. Together with the collective of authors, he published Cardiac Surgery in Instructive Case Studies. The award ceremony will be held at the 9^th convention of the Czech Society for Cardiovascular Surgery between the 22^nd and 24^th November in Brno. The first day includes the book launch. Besides doctor Kurfirst, other experts participated in the book, mostly those from the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology in Nemocnice in České Budějovice. The book aims at general practitioners, cardiologists and internists who have not worked at the Department of Cardiac Surgery but are interested in what occurs with the patients who are discharged from their outpatients with recommendations for hospitalization. It should also serve as a study aid for medicine pre-graduates and young doctors who are starting their work in cardiac surgery.
