Our Colleagues attended the courses Fundamentals of Crisis Intervention and Practical Training in Identifying Children's Needs and Opinions

Since last October, nine FHSS USB colleagues from the Institute of Social and Special-paedagogical Sciences and the Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Emergency Care have participated in accredited courses on Fundamentals of Crisis Intervention and Practical Training in Identifying Children's Needs and Opinions - Fundamentals. "The course of 50 teaching hours provided us both theoretically and practically with the basic anchoring of working with people in crisis through crisis intervention techniques. Among other things, it offered us basic knowledge of the typology of crises and their causes and professional forms of assistance in social services and the principles, procedures, and techniques of crisis intervention. The course included training of selected techniques and methods of interview conducting in the context of crisis assistance and, last but not least, aspects of professional life of the worker, prevention of burnout syndrome, legal and ethical anchoring of the profession of crisis intervention," said Mgr. Ing. Renata Švestková, Ph.D., who organized the course in cooperation with the Crisis Centre for Children and Family in the South Bohemian Region.
