Summer antenatal courses for expectant mothers received good feedback

Wednesday concluded another series of prenatal courses organized by the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences for the public as part of the Lifelong Learning. The summer courses started at the end of June and were held for two groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They were designed for expectant mothers by experienced lecturers PhDr. Drahomíra Filausová, Mgr. Romana Belešová, and Mgr. Alena Machová. They teach at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia and at the same time they are in close contact with the practice in the maternity hospital, so they could provide all the necessary information useful in such a crucial period of life of a woman. The participants were very happy with the course - they were mothers expecting their first child, so this support was and will be very useful for them. The courses were always held in the afternoon at the Centre for Prevention of Lifestyle Diseases of FHSS USB and were quickly booked up. They combined theory with practice, so the women gradually learned all the essentials and had the opportunity to try out some of the tasks on models. The participants mainly appreciated the informal atmosphere and the opportunity to ask about anything.
